Directed to continuous quality improvement, CLF plans and implements monitoring programmes for food products and their constituent raw materials. Because efficient monitoring not only ensures timely preventive action but can also help rationalise quality control costs.
Quality is vital in the production of all food and especially in food for vulnerable and sensitive groups. An essential tool in quality assurance (QA) is a monitoring programme with expertly selected test parameters and sampling frequency. CLF prepares and conducts monitoring programmes for manufacturing facilities to ensure the quality and safety of end products, intermediates and raw materials as well as products in-market.
Key parameters are selected on the basis of needs, relevance, experience and best practice to assess chemical composition, residues and contaminants, and microbiology. The results of the analyses are interpreted against a set of agreed criteria, identifying trends and thus enabling continuous improvement.
Besides carrying out analyses in our own laboratories, CLF provides consulting and training services in setting up appropriate and cost–efficient product testing and monitoring.
